I am delighted to learn that Colditz is getting released on DVD soon. This was screened around the same time as Doomwatch. I wonder if the BBC are 'testing the waters' to see if other classic BBC drama from around that time might get a release too. I had long thought that Colditz on DVD would never happen. I really hope that it is successful and 2 entertain think about Doomwatch again.....

Surely the surviving Doomwatch eps wil be released on DVD one day. Many internet forums include comments along the lines such and such "will never be out on DVD"....The Tripods S2 for another example - but invariably they eventually are released.
Doomwatch won't be a huge seller obviously but when you consider many other series that have a DVD issue, I can't see that Doomwatch could possibly fare so poorly that it wouldn't be worthwhile releasing it at all.
