Hi there,
There is a question that I have always wondered about. There is a character called The Minister in Survival Code played by Hamilton Dyce. However when the Minister reappears in You Killed Toby Wren it is John Barron again. Was it made clear that the Dyce Minister was a completely different character to the one played by Barron. I know that the Minister (for Health) was played by John Savident. Many thanks. Ian.

Another question. I believe that Simon Oates returned to Doomwatch somewhere into the season 3 filming. Does anyone know if he was going to return fulltime to Doomwatch if a season 4 had been ordered? And did the storyline for the first episode - Fire and Brimstone for season 3 come about because of Simon not wanting to do another complete season or did the idea for this story come before Simon's decision?
And of course the really big question - Why are the surviving episodes of Doomwatch not on DVD yet? I wonder why Acorn hasn;t released them - after all they are releasing Paul Temple's surviving episodes next month/ Could it be that 2 Entertain are interested enough to hold onto the rights but not interested enough in releasing it.....at the moment?

I have an answer for this from a fellow Doomwatcher: HAMILTON DYCES Minister was not the same character as JOHN BARRONS, as previously mentioned ,he was Sir George Holroyd. Hamiltons Minister as far as i recall was never named, although he did appear in i think three stories, definitely TOMORROW THE RAT.

Again, an answer from a fellow Doomwatcher: As to Simon and a possible series 4, which of course never happened, I had much correspondence with Simon after i met him and i am sure in one of his letters, i know he mentioned his limited appearances in series 3. We can of course never predict what would have happened, many circumstances could have influenced whether he would or would not have made a full time or even part time appearance in a hypothetical series 3.

Hi
What’s the easiest way to hear the theme tune for the series?
I have a recollection of a TV programme from my childhood and I am trying to find out if Doomwatch is what I am thinking of.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers
Stu

Hello! I'm starting to produce a video about DOOMWATCH for YouTube, and I'm currently trying to make titles for it - but I've run into a snag finding out what the original font or typeface for the DOOMWATCH logo was. Hopefully I'll be able to find a match for it in my video editing program once I know the name of the original typeface. If anyone knows, could you please drop me a line directly at emperordalek@gmail.com? Thank you so much!

Good morning to all. Would anyone be able to help me send a letter to Stephen Dudley please? It's in relation to his father Terence and Doctor Who. I'm not asking for his address, but an agent or PO box number etc. Thanks in advance Dave
